Prof. Dr. Michael Bruno Klein

Prof. Dr. habil. Michael Bruno Klein (TU Berlin) combines scientific expertise with extensive experience in science and innovation management.
He served as Secretary General and Executive Board member for the Leibniz Association, acatech – the German Academy of Engineering Sciences, and the German Alliance for Marine Research (DAM).
In the business world, he gained experience at Robert Bosch GmbH and the Association of Industrial Research Associations (AiF).
Michael Klein currently serves as the Secretary General of the Scientific Commission of Lower Saxony.

Prof. Dr. Peter Herzig is a long-standing Director of GEOMAR and Maritime Coordinator of the State Government, Senator of the German Research Foundation, Vice President of the Helmholtz Association, Maritime Ambassador of the EU Commission, and a member of the Strategic Board of CarbonOcean International AG.

Oliver R. Baumann is a certified financial economist and passionate entrepreneur. Driven by innovative thinking, he is motivated to help shape innovative industries. He wants to make a difference by applying both his 17-year track record in investment banking and his experience as an entrepreneur, e.g. in the biotech industry.

His curiosity was sparked early in his career at Credit Suisse, where he focused on alternative investments and research in the biotech and medtech sectors. He then advised on various start-ups and M&A transactions and served as an active member on several boards of directors.
