A vision for sustainable technology and continuous innovation
At CarbonOcean, we stand for more than just technological innovation. Together with our partner GEOMAR Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research Kiel, we are on an inspiring journey driven by a clear vision around climate and environmental protection.

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Anton Eisenhauer
Beiratsvorsitzinder
Projectmanager GEOMAR
Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Anton Eisenhauer is a German physicist and geochemist who has been Professor of Marine Environmental Geochemistry at the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel since 2000.
Eisenhauer's research focuses on isotope geochemistry, the chemical history of the ocean and the development of isotope proxy methods for reconstructing past climate and environmental conditions. He is particularly interested in corals and reefs as archives for marine chemism and marine biomineralization, especially calcification.
In 2023, he and his team were awarded the Innovation Prize of the City of Kiel.

Prof. Dr. Martin Dietzel
Head of the Institute of Applied Geosciences at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz)
Prof. Dr. Martin Dietzel is the head of the Institute of Applied Geosciences at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz). His research focuses on geochemical processes at the interface between solids and fluids – particularly the formation and dissolution of minerals.
Key areas of his work include trace element distributions, stable isotopes, geochemical modeling, and environmental geochemistry. With over 300 scientific publications, Prof. Dietzel is recognized internationally as an expert in his field.

Values - Vision - Mission
Our mission is to develop innovative technologies that are not only effective CO₂ to extract from the sea but also make it available as a raw material. In doing so, we offer sustainable solutions for a greener future.
In everything we do, our values are integrity, innovation, and sustainability.
